Wanted: Those who knit, crochet or want to learn.
Job Description:
• Volunteer your time and talent for a great cause.
• Learn to make a lap afghan for people in need.
• Collect worsted weight washable wool for making the afghans.
• Distribute completed afghans, or bake treats and just visit.
Benefits:
• An opportunity to engage in tikkun olam- repairing the world.
• Meet friends every Monday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. or the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at the new Le Parisian Cafe at the JCC
• Flexible hours – work on your own schedule if you can’t make the meetings.
• A great, portable project for those on the go – you can do it while you travel.
Started in San Francisco, this project was created to honor a dear friend of the Jewish community. In Indianapolis, this project honors the memory of Dick Jacobs.
