The Ushpizin
Wednesday, June 16th; 7:00 pm
Moshe and Mali are Hasidic Jews in the Breslov community in Jerusalem. They are poor, childless, and pray that they will be able to afford a new Etrog for their Sukkah. After their prayer is answered they have a conflict with demons from Moshe’s past – a pair of escaped convicts who used to be Moshe’s friends. Mali and Moshe insist on keeping the tradition of the Usphizin – show ultimate hospitality for guests in the Sukkah, whoever they are. Rabbi Breslov said “Difficult times are a test of faith” – will they survive this test?
