Albert & Sara Reuben Senior and Community Resource Center

 

Since its opening in 2002, The Albert & Sara Reuben Senior and Community Resource Center and its ElderSource program have been a strong part of the Indianapolis community. In partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, its constituent agencies and other qualified providers, ElderSource is dedicated to a coordinated approach to services which enhance the health, well-being and dignity of older adults and their families in the Indianapolis area. In fulfilling its role ElderSource is guided by Jewish values, customs and traditions.

Bureau of Jewish Education

 

The Bureau of Jewish Education was founded in 1910 with a dream held by community leaders and its founder, Rabbi I.E. Neustadt. Their innovation was to establish a communal, co-educational Hebrew School. Today, the BJE is the second-oldest Hebrew School in the United States. Its mission is to be the primary resource of Jewish education for all age levels and groups within the community and beyond.

Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis

 

The Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis, the only Jewish day school in central Indiana first opened its doors in May of 1971. The mission of the Hebrew Academy is to create a learning environment that fosters the religious, social and academic growth of all students. Together as a community of learners, we promote growth in knowledge and identification with Jewish traditions. Through our programming and classroom instruction we instill in our students a spiritual bond and a strong sense of commitment to the State of Israel. By nurturing a love of learning, we seek to develop responsible, ethical and caring Jewish adults and American citizens of the future.

Hooverwood, Indianapolis Jewish Home

 

Hooverwood, The Indianapolis Jewish Home, Inc., previously knows as "the Borinstein Home," had its origin on August 7, 1907. Since its original mission of establishing a sheltered home for the wandering poor, Hooverwood has developed into a state-of-the-art comprehensive nursing and rehabilitation center that specializes in the care of Alzheimer's Residents. With the values and traditions of Judaism as our foundation, Hooverwood's philosophy of care is based upon the belief that the dignity of the individual identity of each Resident is of prime importance.

Jewish Community Center of Indianapolis

 

For more than 90 years the JCC has been dedicated to enriching the lives of people of all faiths in the community regardless of social or economic background. The JCC is open to all, even to those experiencing financial hardship. In order to fulfill our mission, we reach out to those who can contribute beyond program and membership fees to help underwrite the cost of other who cannot afford the full cost of membership, summer day camp, early childhood education and after school care. We rely on the generosity of others to help fund this fee assistance program.

Jewish Community Relations Council

 

The Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) was established in 1942 as the public affairs and intergroup relations arm of the organized Jewish community.  The JCRC works to foster a secure environment for Jewish living by advocating democratic values.  The JCRC acts in coalition with other groups advocating civil rights and social and economic justice.  As a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, JCRC is charged with the responsibility to work to safeguard the rights of Jews here, in Israel, and around the world. In order to accomplish that, to protect, preserve, and promote a just American society, one that is democratic and pluralistic.
