Calling All Movie Buffs!

February 11th, 7:00 pm

Etay has launced an Israeli movie night program. Each month we will screen a different Israeli film (with subtitles). On February 11th at 7 pm at the Laikin Auditorium. we'll be showing "Kippur" which describes the tales of two friends, Weinraub and Russo, who serve in the IDF as reservists and have to fight together during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. The movie was made with assistance of the IDF.

In an effort to make Super Sunday a community event we'll be collecting the following supplies to put in Senior Weather Emergency kits.

We'll be collecting supplies February 8-26 at the Bureau of Jewish Education, the East Desk of the Arthur M. Glick JCC, Albert and Sara Reuben Senior and Community Resource Center and the Samuel Kroot Jewish Federation offices.

Items needed:

Flashlights and appropriate batteries

Individually wrapped Granola Bars

Small First Aid Kits

Helping Handbags

 Helping Handbags is a program through The Albert & Sara Reuben Senior & Community Resource Center that collects gently used purses, along with anything one would find in a purse, and creates gift bags for children to give their mothers while they’re at abuse shelters.

Employment Options Program

At the request of the Clergy and Professionals group, the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis has initiated a number of services targeted to the Jewish community. The Federation Board of Directors has allocated a limited amount of funding to the Albert & Sara Reuben Senior and Community Resource Center and the Community Social Worker to assist them in implementing the Employment Options Program.
